BACK STORY
Alastair's current writing is drawn from his experiences in central Asia, where he witnessed first hand some of the injustices that beset a politically and socially challenged region.
Formerly a much travelled tennis journalist and editor, he moved into the charity sector before becoming an author in 2020. He went from interviewing the likes of Andre Agassi, Virginia Wade, Tim Henman and tennis enthusiast Sir Cliff Richard, to advocating for survivors of injustice in central and south Asia.
Alastair was Editor of Tennis World magazine for nearly two decades and has featured in many other publications as well as writing a book, Tennis Gallery.
Alastair's first novel 'The Daily News - there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed,' published in October 2024, is inspired by his visits to the nomadic regions of central Asia, where he met with survivors of social deprivation, and listened to the abuses sufferered by kidnapped brides.
He determined to write two novels; the Roza Beshimov mysteries, about corruption and abuse in the region and the inability of the authorities to tackle it.
Alastair favours Kingdom writing, which offers a Christian steer to his work, but which is accessible to both the Christian and secular markets.
The gripping sequel to The Daily News is due for publication in the spring of 2025.
